Continental Breads: Baguettes, Focaccia and Ciabatta

Join us in the kitchen for a comprehensive full-day workshop dedicated to mastering a selection of classic continental breads, including baguettes, focaccia and ciabatta. During this 6½-hour hands-on workshop, you'll learn the techniques behind mixing, kneading, shaping and baking artisan-style breads, along with a delicious sweet treat. Designed to simplify the art of bread making, this workshop will equip you with the essential skills and confidence to recreate these bakery favourites in your own kitchen.

What You Will Learn:

  • Mixing, kneading, proving, shaping, and baking a variety of breads
  • Selecting the right type of flour for your recipes
  • Understanding different types of yeast and their uses
  • Tips and techniques to monitor and perfect your baking process

Typical Bakes:

  • Ciabatta: Learn how to make this light and airy bread, traditionally baked in a slipper shape
  • Focaccia: A classic Italian bread made with an olive oil dough
  • Baguettes: Made with a poolish, understand how to shape and bake the perfect French baguette
  • Almond Biscotti: Twice-baked Italian biscuit, made with almonds and a hint of lemon

Unfortunately, we aren’t able to tailor recipes for substitutions or alterations, as these can fundamentally change the composition and final bake result.
